December Message from Relief Society Presidency

Dear Sisters,

As we get caught up in the busyness of the Christmas season, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas.  President Ezra Taft Benson said,

"Without Christ there would be no Christmas, and without Christ there can be no fullness of joy.  It is my testimony that the Babe of Bethlehem, Jesus the Christ, is the one perfect
Guide, the one perfect Example.  Only by emulating Him and adhering to His eternal truth can we realize peace on earth and good will toward all."

One of the best ways to center your Christmas around the Savior is to live your life as Christ would.  Find ways to bring joy to the lives of your assigned Relief Society sisters. You will not only be blessing their lives, you will be celebrating Christ.  May the gifts of Christmas fill your homes with the light of His love.

Some ideas of how you can bless a Sister's life may be:
1.) Take a sister a homemade Christmas card or ornament
2.) Take a sister fresh baked bread or cookies
3.) Help a sister put up their Christmas decorations
4.) Offer to babysit so a sister can do Christmas shopping
5.) Invite a sister to your Christmas dinner

With all our love,
McAllen 1st Relief Society Presidency
Sheila Alejo- President
Heidi Palmer- 1st Counselor
Patti Quintanilla- 2nd Counselor
Monica Rocha- Secretary
