We hope you can all join us this Thursday, Jan. 12th at 7PM @ the La Vista building for our Enrichment meeting.  Sister Freeman (our newly called ward Family History advisor) will be teaching a workshop on how to start your family history.  Please mark your calendars and join us for this informative night.

December Enrichment Activity...

Come join us for a fun filled evening as we celebrate this Christmas season as a Relief Society.  Bring your favorite holiday dessert and a wrapped ornament for our gift exchange.

Don't forget to bring a copy of your dessert recipe and we'll compile and put together to share with each sister.

Blogging 101...September Enrichment Class

Come join us for a fun and informative evening where you will learn the basics to blogging, the main components of a blog, and how to get started on setting up your very own blog using Blogger (the free weblog publishing tool from Google).

When:  Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Where:  Sister Mask’s Home

Time:  6:30 PM- 8:30 PM

Refreshments will be served.

If you have a personal laptop, we ask that you bring that along so you can work on creating your blog during the workshop.

Hello McAllen 1st Sisters,

Mark your calendars for our upcoming Enrichment Activity on Thursday, August 11th.

Join us for a night filled with fun. Bring a dish that cost $10 or less. We will have a swap table. Bring things you are no longer using and that are in good condition to add to the swap table.

Don't forget your scriptures, you'll need them for the Banana Split Scavenger Hunt.

Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

June Enrichment Meeting: Yogurt, Gardening and Breadmaking

For our June Enrichment meeting, we had an evening activity where the Sisters learned how to make homemade yogurt, Artisan bread in 5 minutes a day and the basics to container gardening.

There was a demonstration on how to make bread using a recipe from the book, Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day...it is super simple and the bread tasted fantastic!

The second workshop for the evening was on container gardening.  Very useful information was shared along with where the Sisters can go to find the materials they need to begin container gardening.

And the last workshop of the evening was on how to make homemade yogurt....YUMMY! 

We enjoyed a wonderful evening together as Sisters learning all about yogurt, homemade bread and gardening.  What a blessing it is to be a part of an inspired organization as the Relief Society.
