Recipe of the Month....Chocolate Pie

2 c sugar
4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp cocoa
dash of salt
5 egg yolks
2 1/2 c milk
stick of margarine
1 tsp vanilla

5 egg whites
5 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
dash of water

Mix sugar, cocoa, flour, and salt.  Add milk slowly to make pastry.  Add egg yolks.  Cook over medium heat until thickened and boils, stirring constantly.  Add margarine just before it boils.  Add vanilla after it cools for 20 minutes.  Pour into 2 cooked pie shells.  Cover with meringue and bake until peaks are with meringue and bake until peaks are golden brown.

Meringue:  Beat egg whites with sugar, vanilla and water until soft peaks.
